Our A51 Manufactured 6×6 Feather Edge Fencing Panels are built with durability, strength, and long-term performance firmly in mind. Manufactured in-house by A51, these panels are designed to provide a reliable fencing solution that stands up to the British climate while maintaining a smart, traditional appearance.

Constructed using overlapping feather edge boards, these panels offer excellent privacy and wind resistance, making them a popular choice for garden boundaries and perimeter fencing.

Fully tanalised timber for long-term protection

All A51 feather edge fencing panels are manufactured using fully tanalised timber, providing enhanced protection against the most common causes of timber failure. The pressure-treatment process forces preservative deep into the wood, helping to protect against:

• Insect attack

• Fungal decay

• Rot

This significantly improves the lifespan of the panels when installed correctly and maintained as recommended.

Strong construction with four rear rails

Each 6×6 feather edge panel is constructed with four horizontal rails on the rear, creating a strong internal structure that helps resist bowing, twisting, and movement over time. This additional framing gives the panel a solid, substantial feel and makes it particularly well suited to longer fencing runs where stability is essential.

Unlike lighter feather edge panels, the four-rail design ensures consistent strength across the full width of the panel.

Bevelled panel cap for added weather resistance

To further improve longevity, our feather edge fencing panels are finished with a bevelled panel cap. This encourages rainwater to run off the top of the panel rather than sitting on flat surfaces, reducing moisture absorption and improving weather resistance.

By controlling the entire build process, we ensure materials, fixings, and finishes meet the level of quality we expect — and the level our customers rely on.

Because we manufacture our panels ourselves, we’re also able to produce feather edge panels to any width required, making them ideal for non-standard openings or awkward boundaries. Panels over 6ft wide can also be manufactured, however these are priced differently due to the additional materials and construction involved. If you require a wider panel, simply let us know your measurements and we’ll advise accordingly.

FSC certified timber

The timber used in our feather edge fencing panels is FSC certified, meaning it is sourced from well-managed forests where environmental, social, and economic standards are upheld. This ensures responsible sourcing without compromising on strength or durability.

Choosing the correct panel height

When ordering 6ft high feather edge fencing panels, it’s important to consider whether they will be installed on top of a gravel board. In many cases, customers find that a 5ft feather edge panel is the correct choice when used with a gravel board, rather than opting for a full 6ft panel.
