Heritage Apex Shed – your choice, one simple option

The Heritage Apex Shed is designed around choice and flexibility. Built to a proven Heritage specification, this building allows you to select the level of thickness that suits your needs directly on the product page.

Start with the Heritage 12mm specification, or simply upgrade to Heritage 19mm at the click of a button for a more substantial, premium finish — all within the same product configuration.

Choose your thickness (simple button option)

The Heritage range gives you a clear and straightforward choice:

  • Heritage 12mm – a well-built, balanced option with a clean, traditional appearance

  • Upgrade to Heritage 19mm – selected via an on-page option, providing increased strength, insulation, and a more solid feel

Both options are built on the same Heritage framework, using the same quality construction methods. The only difference is the thickness you choose.

No separate products. No confusion. Just select the option that suits you best.

12mm or 19mm – which should I choose?

Choosing between 12mm and 19mm wall thickness comes down to how you plan to use your shed and the level of robustness you’re looking for.

Heritage 12mm is an excellent all-round option for general garden storage. It offers a clean, traditional appearance and is ideal for storing tools, garden equipment, bikes, and everyday items. If you’re looking for a smart, well-built shed that does its job without over-specifying, the 12mm option is a strong and sensible choice.

Upgrading to Heritage 19mm provides a noticeable step up in strength and overall solidity. Thicker cladding improves rigidity, offers better insulation, and gives the building a more substantial feel. This option is particularly popular for customers planning to spend more time inside the shed, use it as a workshop, or store heavier or more valuable equipment.

Both options are built on the same Heritage framework and benefit from the same standard features, including the rubber roof. The difference is simply how far you want to enhance the structure.

If you’re unsure which option is right for you, don’t worry — once your order is placed, we’ll talk through your intended use and help confirm the best choice before anything is built.

Rubber roof – now standard on all buildings

Every Heritage Apex Shed now comes fitted with a rubber roof as standard, regardless of whether you choose the 12mm or upgrade to the 19mm option.

This modern roofing system offers excellent durability, long lifespan, and low maintenance, giving you superior weather protection compared to traditional felt — without needing to add it as an extra.

Standard Heritage specification

All Heritage Apex Sheds include:

  • Strong 2×2 timber framing

  • 12mm shiplap timber floor

  • 12mm wall cladding as standard

  • Optional upgrade to 19mm wall cladding (via button option)

  • Rubber roof fitted as standard

  • 835mm wide door (where feasible by building size)

  • Zinc-plated hinges and Brenton bolt

This ensures every Heritage building starts from the same solid base, with the flexibility to step the specification up where you want.

Looking for something even more substantial? Meet the Langston

If you’re after a garden building with an even more solid, heavy-duty feel, it may be worth considering our Langston range.

The Langston is designed for customers who want maximum strength, thicker materials, and a more robust overall structure, making it ideal for workshops, heavier storage, or more demanding use. It takes everything that makes the Heritage range strong and builds upon it with a more substantial specification throughout.

While the Heritage Apex offers flexibility and choice with its 12mm or optional 19mm cladding, the Langston range is built for those who know they want the next level up from the outset.

If you’re unsure which building best suits your needs, we’re always happy to talk you through the differences and help you choose the right option for your space and intended use.
